Begin with a visit to the Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Co, where owners Brenton and Verity produce organic Ligurian honey and various other honey products. Join a factory tour covering honey production and bee biology and of course tastings of the finished product.

Established by renowned Bordeaux winemaker Jacques Lurton in 2000, The Islander Estate Vineyards has since put Kangaroo Island on the map for cool climate varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Semillon. Surrounded by native bushland, the purpose-built Wine Tasting room is a charming venue for a guided tasting of the Islander Estate range.

Spend time tasting and enjoying the view at Springs Road Wines. Discover what attracted respected McLaren Vale winemakers Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith to extend ‘overseas’ to purchase the Springs Road vineyard, where they produce beautiful Kangaroo Island wines.

An easy hop away is Kangaroo Island Spirits’ cellar door. Learn about the small batch distillation process and sample an evolution of spirits from limoncello to local honey liqueur and rare Old Tom gin. An exclusive collaboration between Kangaroo Island Spirits and Baillie Lodges, baillies 9 wild gin includes a secret island ingredient that distinguishes it from imitations.

Also in the neighbourhood find Kangaroo Island Wool. The newly built wool mill puts visitors in touch with the island’s rich agricultural heritage. The onsite shop makes it easy to pickup a fine merino wool garment handcrafted on-island from hand selected, elite sheep to take home.
