Kangaroo Island has rapidly become known for its producers, developing a reputation for passionate growers and premium products. A full day tour offers the chance to taste some of the finest ingredients and beverages the island has to offer and more...

Begin with a visit to Emu Bay Lavender, a charming farm gate cafe nestled among picturesque rows of lavender, where mother and daughter duo Sophie and Eliza Sheridan craft a variety of lavender products right on site. Their indulgent oversized lavender scones and artisanal handmade ice cream are a must-try!

Next up, enjoy a gourmet picnic at historic Reeves Point – there’s also time to wander into Kingscote, Kangaroo Island’s ‘big smoke’.

After lunch, head along the Cygnet River Trail and stop at Kangaroo Island Wool, a local collective of wool growers and farmers, showcasing their product from paddock to consumer. The wool mill connects guests with the island’s rich agricultural heritage and the onsite shop makes it easy to pickup a fine merino wool garment handcrafted on-island from hand selected, elite sheep to take home.

Also in the neighbourhood find The Islander Estate Vineyards. Established by renowned Bordeaux winemaker Jacques Lurton in 2000, the winery has since put Kangaroo Island on the map for cool climate varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Semillon. Surrounded by native bushland, the purpose-built Wine Tasting room is a charming venue for a guided tasting of the Islander Estate range.

At second generation, family-run business Clifford’s Honey Farm, discover Kangaroo Island’s liquid gold, pure Ligurian honey. Take some time to learn about honey production via the interpretive display and of course to taste the finished product. Jenny’s homemade honey ice cream is famous!
