A menu of luxurious spa treatments makes the most of Kangaroo Island’s prized natural beauty products. Home to the world’s only pure strain of Ligurian bee, the island’s hives produce honey renowned for its outstanding healing and nourishing qualities, whilst locally harvested lavender and eucalyptus relax and rejuvenate.
The Southern Spa features the alkeme spa care product range, created in small batches by wellness practitioner Aphra Skye Heron. Inspired by Aphra’s upbringing in wellness, the range embraces age-old practises of alchemy, ‘making magic from nature’ using a blend of local botanicals and sustainable ingredients and is guided by the ancient lore of Australia’s First Nations people.
The sandstone-tiled outdoor terrace is framed by the statement curved limestone wall that runs throughout Southern Ocean Lodge and is home to a sauna and loungers that overlook the wilderness while deep hot and cold plunge pools offer a perfect hop, skip and a splash to an invigorating spa experience, Kangaroo Island style.
