Get an introduction to island life - where things take time. Where drivers wave as they go by, or even stop for a chat and having a cuppa with a slice of homemade cake is the daily norm.

Travelling in a premium four-wheel-drive vehicle, go off the beaten track through picturesque farming country heading for the north coast. At Lathami Conservation Park, keep an eye out for wallabies which are almost extinct on the mainland and a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island.

Break for lunch and enjoy a delicious barbecue featuring King George whiting, fresh salads and fine South Australian wines at a private bush location.
