Glide with a guide along the calm, meandering waters of the South West River in a kayak and discover a diverse ecosystem home to a range of native flora and fauna.

Just beyond the sand hills of Hanson Bay Beach flows the South West River. Originating from the centre of the island, at certain times of the year the waterway joins the Southern Ocean and runs out to sea.

Paddle in a single or tandem kayak past brilliant white sand hills through serene waters, keeping an eye out for a variety of birdlife that inhabits the fresh water environment. Pause half way for refreshments before paddling back to where the river meets the sea.

This bespoke experience operates on a limited shared basis for an inclusive safari feel. Additional charges apply as shown.
